Strangely I had been to the cocoti building several times over the past few years to do some shopping or have a coffee with friends in the 347 Cafe upstairs though had never noticed the Glorious Chain Cafe right next to the building’s entrance.
In retrospect I really wish I had noticed it sooner as while the 347 Cafe has a trendier atmosphere, Glorious Cafe Chain has vastly superior food with excellent value for money and a fast, hassle free, free wi-fi internet.

The vibe is very Western with a kind of Hard Rock Cafe feel to it (probably a result of it being owned by Diesel) but thankfully without the smoking. The menu consists of rather large servings of typical American fast food staples such as burgers and fries with a main course and drink set setting you back around 1000 yen.
The staff are as friendly as they are good looking and thankfully due to the majority of the Shibuya crowd being drawn to the outdoor pool seating upstairs at the 347 Cafe, this place remains for the most part fairly empty, even during the lunch time rush making it a very convenient place to meet up with friends, relax during a day of shopping or simply check some email.

Definitely worth checking out for those after Western food that actually tastes like Western food.

How to Get to Glorious Chain Cafe in Shibuya
From the main JR Shibuya Station, head out of the East Exit and turn left. You should see a big intersection. Cross to the other side of the road opposite the station and then cross again. You should be on Meiji Dori. Walk along this road, passing 2 streets on your right. The third street you get to should be an intersection with a park to your front-left and a building called cocoti in front of you with a store called Tomorrowland on the ground floor. Cross the road to this building. Glorious Chain Cafe is actually right on the ground floor at the entrance to the right of the escalators.
That burger looks amazing.
It’s REALLY good! Ordered it twice now! You should def check it out next time you’re in Shibuya!
The atmosphere was chill, relaxed and just what the above review described.
The burger I got was good, but the thinness of the patty was disappointing. Why so thin? If I’m getting a burger, I want a big, meaty burger. Don’t hold back. It’s not like I’m having a diet burger.
If the patty were double the thickness, it would have been perfect. The price, in the 1,200-1,500 yen range, was a little high, though. It’s just a burger and fries!
That’s so awesome that you checked it out! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! 🙂
